Small groups · Ten travellers maximum
We run guided journeys to alpine passes, quiet coastlines and high desert — never more than ten travellers, always with a guide who lives there. No coach parks, no six-countries-in-nine-days.

How booking works
Tell us the region and the pace. We send back two or three departures that actually suit your fitness and your dates — not the whole catalogue.
A deposit holds the spot. Balance is due six weeks out, and the whole deposit is refundable for thirty days after you pay it.
Transfers, permits, lodging and the guide are already arranged. You bring boots and a jacket that has seen rain before.

How a trip actually runs
A day looks like this: breakfast at seven, on the path by eight, long lunch somewhere with a view, and into the next village by five. Bags are already there.
One bag per traveller is driven ahead each morning. You carry water, layers and lunch.
Dinners are booked in family-run places. Tell us about allergies once and it follows you.
If the weather turns or the legs go, there is always a lower route and a lift.
Why travel with us
A real duty phone in your timezone for the whole trip, not a ticket queue.
Every guide is local, salaried and certified for the terrain they lead on.
Payments sit in a protected client account until the day you depart.
No fuel levies, no single supplement, no card fee bolted on at checkout.

Traveller reviews
The second morning it poured, and by breakfast our guide had already rerouted us along a river path and rebooked the lunch stop. Nobody even had to ask.

The Saddle Traverse · September
I booked the gentle pace expecting to be bored. Instead I swam twice a day and learned the name of every bird on the headland.

Lagoon & Limestone · June
Eight of us, one guide, and not a single moment of being herded. The price on the invoice was the price I paid.

My knee gave out on day four. They had me on the low route with a lift to the village within the hour, and refunded the hut night I missed.

Eleven is the number where a village kitchen stops being able to feed you properly. Everything else follows from that.

Before you book
If yours is not here, the duty phone is answered by a person who has walked the route you are asking about.
Ask us directlyFor a gentle route: comfortable walking four hours on flat ground. For demanding: six to seven hours with 900 metres of ascent, several days running. We will tell you honestly if a route is wrong for you rather than sell it.
Every day has a lower alternative planned before the trip starts. Guides decide by 7am and tell the group at breakfast. If a whole day is lost, we refund the accommodation difference rather than pocket it.
Fully, for thirty days after you pay it. After that it moves to credit against any departure in the following two years. The balance is due six weeks before you fly.
No. On Ridge and Summit you get a private room at the listed price. On Trail you share, and we pair travellers by preference rather than charging you for travelling alone.
Yes, and you only tell us once. It is passed to every kitchen on the route before you arrive. Severe allergies should be flagged at booking so we can check the huts.
Flights, travel insurance, lunches on rest days, and drinks with dinner. Everything else on the itinerary is covered, including permits and luggage transfer.
